To Configure the Comments Tracking User Interface

Comments Tracking system preferences can be defined in AssetWise CONNECT Edition or ALIM Web. Regardless of the application in which you applied the settings, they are automatically be updated in the other application. The system uses the most recently defined value.

Follow these steps to configure the AssetWise CONNECT Edition ALIM user interface for customizing comments tracking.

  1. Log into with sufficient user rights to modify system settings, preferably as an Administrator.
  2. Click the Configuration icon ( ).
  3. From the Application group, select System Settings. For example,
  4. Select Comments Tracking from the menu on the left. For example,

    A list of available Comments Tracking settings appears.

  5. Select a setting that you want to modify.
  6. From the Actions menu, select Change Setting. For example,

    The Change Setting dialog appears. Edit the value of the setting, based on the table below.

    Setting Description
    Comments tracking Admin permission roles Comma delimited list of AssetWise permission roles. The members of these roles have additional privileges related to Comments Tracking.

    Consolidator Task Names Comma delimited list of Task names to be treated as Consolidation Tasks.

    Default Note Priority for Comment Responses This setting identifies a single string value representing the Note priority Code. The specified priority is automatically assigned to Comment Responses that are created in the AssetWise CONNECT Edition ALIM user interface as well as when being imported from the ALIM Web application.

    Lead Reviewer Task Names Comma delimited list of Task names to be treated as Lead Reviewer Tasks.

    Attribute name to copy the Final Decision to The name of a document attribute that the text of the final decision will be written to.

    If blank, this feature is ignored. If a value is included, you must create a Fixed value attribute using AssetWise Director with the same name.

    The list of values configured for this attribute in AssetWise Director must be the same as the available Answers in the Consolidation Survey. For more information, see Creating a Survey Class and Templates.

  7. When you are finished, click Save.
  8. Repeat Steps 5 to 7 for each setting that you want to change.
